KL - Cameron Highlands (Tanah Rata)

semi-overcast 17 °C

So we left for Cameron Highlands from Kuala Lumpur via bus. The bus journey was terrible as it had appalling suspension. It was like a 4 hour ride on a bus with hydraulics. Still, can't grumble too much for 23 ringgits.

Cameron Highlands is instantly recognisable as very picturesque, with sprawling, hilly greenery in all directions. We were jumped on by touts at the bus station and ended up at Kang's guest gouse. What a great place, the staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

It's quiet at night, with only a couple of bars and one club. Everywhere is very chilled out and we spent the tonight drinking in the jungle bar.
